Collaborative Economy and Innocentive Science

Collaborative economy, connected consumption, collaborative learning, peer-to-peer (P2P) networks, collaborative production, open knowledge, collaborative finance, crowdsourcing, sharing economy ... Most of these concepts appeared in the mid-2000s, except for "learning" and P2P networks that can be traced back to the 1970s. We discussed some of these in 2010 .  Sharing has been an integral part of many different cultures and societies throughout history. ‘Collaborative economy’ (coined in 2011, five years after "crowdsourcing") was associated with new types of digital platforms that allowed people to access and share resources more efficiently. Uber, Lyft, TaskRabbit, AirBnB, DoorDash, Upwork, Netflix and many other companies emerged, offering increased access to services, lower costs, and greater convenience for consumers. The concept of collaborative economy grew in popularity, with companies like Airbnb and Uber leading the way. However, neither Uber drivers nor
